Jobs!

11/17: I get a call from Humana and have a phone interview the same day which leads to setting up an interview on site...in person the next day.

11/18: The on site interview.

11/22 @ about 2pm: Brett calls me to tell me he just got an offer from Humana for an accounting position. -- We get excited about being able to move out/actually afford things. :)

(3 hours later) 11/22 @ about 5pm: I get a call from Humana offering me the position I interviewed for on Thursday. -- We get completely overwhelmed and excited and can't believe what just happened!

We're moving here sometime next month! It's right in the middle of downtown with awesome views (and a pool on the roof)! Aaaand we'll be able to walk to work!

This weekend was my first time alone in Louisville without Brett since I moved here! Brett's weekend consisted of this:

I actually ended up having quite a lot to do this weekend :)

Friday night I was supposed to go bowling but Jessica and I ended up staying at work until 8:00pm. Yeah, on a Friday night. We know we're lame.

Saturday, I finally made it to the bank. I don't know why but the past couple Saturdays I've been awake before noon...just have not had enough motivation to drive a mile down the road to the bank. So I finally got that done and then managed to watch 4 episodes of Nip/Tuck. I went over to Natalie's around 3:30 to check out the photo book she had made of the pictures I took of Josh's family. Then I drove to Bardstown Road to meet Jen for dinner before heading to the Roller Derby!

Today, I got up and went out to a gorgeous park to take some pictures just for fun of two sisters. It was a beautiful day except for the wind. After the pictures Brett and I headed up to Indiana for an early Thanksgiving dinner.

Our trip to The Natural Bridge was a success! It was so much fun. I absolutely love Kentucky...it's so easy to just drive off the main highway for a mile and see beautiful scenery in every direction! This was a road that we took to Lexington that basically paralleled the highway. I love the back roads though because you get to see things like this!

The fall colors in this area are gorgeous. Apparently the colors weren't as good this year as they usually are but I was still amazed.
We decided to hike the original "easy" trail up to the Natural Bridge and then take a more difficult/interesting trail back.

The bridge!

This is how you get to the top of the bridge. It was a reeeally tight squeeze.

On top!

This was the more difficult trail...Sooo glad we decided to take it back instead of up. Going down was difficult but not quite as exhausting as I would think going up them would be. These were definitely the steepest steps I've ever had to go down though

After we were done hiking we drove a couple miles to Campton to stay with some of Brett's family. I loved our room...and the first thing we saw when we looked out the window...
Their dog, Nana, had puppies three weeks ago and they were adorable!!

On Sunday morning we left Campton and drove to Paris, KY just to check it out. :)

It was so hard to get out of bed this morning. 1) It was cold. 2) Yesterday felt like Friday all day so the fact that it is ONLY Thursday today was just depressing. 3) I'm tired.

I've been extremely tired lately. I didn't even eat dinner last night because I was too tired/lazy to go upstairs and find something to make. And I basically fell asleep while playing rock band at some point.

I'm looking forward to this weekend though! There is a chance of snow on Friday night!!!

Saturday we're heading out to the Natural Bridge State Park to sightsee/hike. It looks gorgeous and I'm hoping there are still some trees that have leaves out there!
