Honeymoon

Leaving for Destin!

Stopped in Mississippi at Brett's aunts house (or slab) that got destroyed by Katrina.
It was so sad to see all the missing houses and empty plots of land. There was also a boardwalk that was still completely destroyed. Hard to believe it's been so many years when there is still such visible devastation.

Our cabin at Grayton Beach State Park by Destin, FL. We stayed in the cabin on the right and Matt and Julie stayed in one next door. It worked out great!

The beach!
The first day it was so windy that our umbrella blew away into the sand dunes. We spent a lot of time just relaxing in the shade (no one got too sunburned!) and playing in the waves.

Oil spill clean up volunteers - there were hardly any tourists on the beach...just TONS of volunteers for the oil clean up.

Eating one of our dinners that we made - We had home cooked dinners every night but one!

The guys about to spend the day golfing while the girls spent the day shopping.

Parasailing!!! This was so much fun! It wasn't scary at all. :)

Julie and Matt's Wedding!

Matt and Julie's wedding was in Weatherford, Texas and it was the same day as the Peach Festival! They used peaches for centerpieces at the wedding! My parents, Julie and her parents, and I all went to the festival the morning of the wedding. It was awesome. They had peaches (of course), peach smoothies, peach ice cream, peach cobbler, and tons of arts and crafts. The wedding was great! And it was the last wedding of the 3 weddings Brett and I went to this summer (ours included). I miss weddings now!
