I LOVE working downtown. Yesterday, I wanted to see if the river had risen at all because of all the rain...so I walked to it at lunch! Love it and can't wait until Spring!!
One of the girls in my handbell choir just had a baby a few months ago...hence my first baby pictures I've ever taken!
Also, I just downloaded the Book of Mormon and am hoping to have it read all the way through in about 2 months (I'm gonna shoot for about 10 pages a day). This religion has fascinated me since high school but I've never read the actual book...just read a lot of stuff online about it. So, I figured if I'm going to form an opinion about it, I need to actually read it. I may be posting some random updates about what I read. :)

Oh my goodness! What happened to the river? Is that normal for it to flood every spring?
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable pictures!
That should be really interesting. I only know a couple of details - no alcohol, no caffeine, no smoking (anything that can be addictive), they get a planet in heaven (size according to good deeds done on Earth or something like that). Did you and Brett hear about the BYU basketball player that got kicked off the team and might be kicked out of school? He broke the Honor Code - no alcohol, no soda, tea, or coffee, no smoking, no premarital sex. Any student can be kicked out if they are caught doing this on a case by case basis. They found out he was having sex. He was one of their best players.
I saw on the weather channel at work all the flooding and storms rolling through there. craziness!
ReplyDeletecute pictures - what kind of camera do you have again? I can't remember. I really want to take a photography class but I have no idea where!
Christine -- they can't drink coffee, soda, or tea??! only water or milk??
Christine, I've actually seen it flood pretty bad twice since I moved here. Once was because of rain and the second time was from a lot of snow melting. This time it was from both rain and melting snow!
ReplyDeleteAnd yep, I heard about the guy that got kicked off. That's actually what got me interested in it again...I looked up the BYU honor code. The one thing in there that I really didn't understand was their explanation of "excessive piercings". I can understand not wanting a lot of random piercings and tattoos...but according to their code, 2 holes in each ear counts as excessive!
Beth, I can't believe there were 3 (I think) confirmed tornadoes here in February! Living here instead of TX/OK may not be too bad during storm season! :)
Right now I use the original Canon Digital Rebel...but I'm getting close to buying another one. There are so many choices now!
I didn't see the one about piercings. I doubt they'd approve of my belly button then. I wish I didn't get it now though. For some reason I thought it would close up like your ear. Nope - it's a gauge and it's stuck there. It bugs now. lol
